Killah, for most of the song, is closer to MANiCURE than Swine tbh, but even at that, I think it’s very much its own thing

The ending is soosuicide. So dreamy, gaga is educated af when it comes to post punk &nbsp:firega:

My hot take is that MAYHEM is, in many ways, a modern new wave album :firega:

IMO the song has more TFM/BTW vibes than AP

Yeah idk if I’m really hearing ARTPOP there except for the screaming part on “floor’s on fire” but that’s kinda it

I don’t hear ARTPOP at all.. except maybe the “a braca dabra abracadaaaaaaabra” part but that is it.

the rest is more Chromatica with the 90s dance / house vibe.  And melodically/lyrically is it a lot like TFM and BTW.

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

Can't wait to see all the people respond to this thread saying they hate ARTPOP solely because they get annoyed about fans talking about it when they JUSTIFIABLY have the right to when people gave Lady Gaga and her fans prejudice at the time.

Fantano himself also stated he gelt "Abracadabra" was a mix of the BTW/ARTPOP sound.

And some of ARTPOP would honestly fit in nicely in this day and age, mainly the weirder electronic sounds from DWUW (solo), Applause, Aura, Sexxx Dreams, PartySick.

However on that note fans need to stop hounding her over ACT II. I get the sense she was a bit pissed with the volume 2 question at the Spotify conference.

Wasnt it behind its time? it was too late to release that kind of album during that time.

Electronic/EDM sounds were still going strong in the mainstream up till 2015 though - Avicii, Galatians, Flume, Alesso, Chainsmokers, Zedd etc

I will never understand what’s so appealing about ARTPOP lol it’s just dated EDM, it sounded dated even on its release day lol

It's aged, but the beats and grooves have a lot of character. Some of them could be released today tbh - Aura especially.

ARTPOP is EDM and Abracadabra is Underground House/Acid, it's just the Four to the Floor kick in some ARTPOP songs that links them. Hope we can stop hearing ARTPOP in anything
