Don’t forget those ”ooh” choir vocals/vox on abra. Again, very aura and zedd.

Tbh, Gaga is one of few artists that can make songs/hits feel and sound timeless. Like for example some abba songs still feels kinda fresh and I am not even a fan but I can recognise them. I feel like Gagas catalogue will hold up for a LONG time like no other artist before… So yes, she can really create a distinct sound

Wasnt it behind its time? it was too late to release that kind of album during that time. 

I also extremely hate EDM / trance/ techno, but ARTPOP is one of my all time favorite albums ever

Same logic can be applied on both Chromatica and Mayhem with different genres also being called dated on those records…. 

I hear alot of ARTPOP in todays pop scene

no honestly i totally get that it’s such a sequel that it’s just been said over and over but it feels like the album we have all been waiting for and it’s so nice to see that she’s always been it and has always had it and it doesn’t look like she is going away anytime soon

Behind it’s time in a sense, for me Gaga polished those genres but it was too late… but for me still sounded fresh.
