This is in response to the ongoing protests and conflict taking place due to ICE raids. 700 of them have been deployed. They are not going to assist the police yet however; only invoking the insurrection act will bring about them getting involved. Its insane how quickly this is escalating but didnt we already expect this to happen? We've been saying for months and years and nobody listened...we are in a fascist regime with pure unquestionable loyalty and authority to be given to your Lord and Savior Trump... I don’t know what the answer is or how he can be stopped but keep fighting the good fight, there is power in people, stand up to it. Comments by Trump supporters on Instagram are effortlessly getting 10k+ - 100k+ likes. Meanwhile, replies by progressives are struggling to break even 1k+ likes and comments by them are few and far between with lower likes. We are probably gonna have to wait until the 2030s or for Trump to screw up in a Germany WWII level way to see the pendulum switch back to progressive values. he/him/his Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ladle Ghoulash 54,001 Posted June 9, 2025 Share Posted June 9, 2025 Important to acknowledge that due to the lack of invocation of the Insurrection Act, the Marines (much like the National Guard) are being mobilized under Title X, which is within the limitations of Posse Comitatus, which means they can literally only protect federal property and cannot engage in any kind of law enforcement activity. What’s more, the National Guard deployment was supposed to be 2,000, only 300 showed, and they’ve basically been standing around doing nothing since they got there. As for the Marines, they haven’t even arrived yet and the details of their arrival and duties haven’t even been finalized yet. I know this is scary and Trump obviously wants an escalation, but as of right now, things have not escalated to martial law territory.
