I mean, you found the need to quote me multiple times, seems to me you are more invested in the subject that me diva. :brat:

I just think when it gets to a point where someone gains joy or satisfaction from negativity, it just says a lot. And so it just makes me feel very sorry and empathetic to those people and hopeful they will find the inner peace and bliss they need to move and grow beyond that. :kara:

It's funny actually because I went to Ms. Tina's talk about her memoir, Matriarch, and she said two things that are completely relevant here:

1. Pretty is as pretty does.

2. There is nothing to gain from being angry/resentful/petty at others. They just live their lives without thinking about you, and all that negative energy just eats away at you.

So you're free to gain satisfaction from seeing Beyoncé donating free tickets if you want.  I prefer to gain satisfaction from having seen an incredible show performed by one of the greatest living performers of all time in a crowded stadium filled with love, joy and exhilaration. I gained satisfaction from seeing a black woman break through every ceiling that was pushed above her, so much so that she was able to perform to 90%-filled stadiums across six shows in support of a country album in the UK – a country that does not listen to country music at all. I gain satisfaction from an artist who cared enough about her fans to add extra dates, even if that meant no sell-out, so that all the fans who did want to go and could afford to were able to get a ticket to see the show. And I derive my satisfaction from positive experiences and moments, and that ultimately leads to me leading a happy life. I can only wish for you to find a similar beauty in life someday. :ally:

I never said one bad thing about Beyonce bestie. Do you think she really cares that much if she doesn't sell out? As you said, she's a Billionare.

And that's your issue with me, you think me calling out bad behavior from her fanbase is calling her out, Beyonce is still one of the biggest pop acts right now and she's still one of the best live acts, i'm not disputing any of that and arguing otherwise would be silly.

Me criticizing her fanbase doesn't mean I'm criticizing her and it's actually funny you take it so personally lol

I mean, you criticized Gaga's fanbase on a post already, I didn't take that as a Gaga attack.

You repeatedly said you were enjoying the fact she hadn't sold out, I'm not making this up, it is what you said. :ladyhaha: But you are correct, she could not care less. I'm not taking it personally at all, I just felt sad when you said that this is what was bringing you a lot of satisfaction is all and wanted to offer you some friendly words.

I paid 400$ for floor seats that are now going for 300$ less. I feel scammed.

I had some bittersweet feelings about that too but honestly that's ultimately part of the concert ticket gamble. Every time concert tickets go on sale, you can either choose to wait it out and either have to settle for bad seats or overpay for seats because the show sold out... Or to get a seat you aren't 100% happy with or paid more than you wanted to when better/cheaper seats will happen later.

Ultimately what matters is whether or not you wanted to see the show, and that at that point in time you were willing to spend $400 to see it. It's a great show, you'll hopefully have a great time and since it's impossible to recoup the money you might as well make the most out of the experience. If you really wanted to somehow feel like a winner you could always buy a $100 floor seat for a different date and go twice, and that would mean you got both seats for $250 each instead.  But yeah. I totally relate and empathise, I got a front-row side seat in the lower bowl for $400 too and since they changed the stage set-up it became limited view but I wasn't informed I could request an upgrade. The seat next to me was selling for $150 the day before the show. :kara:

ok but there is a massive overlap of gaga fans who are also beyoncé fans and vice versa. and there is also a massive group of monsters who say nasty things about so many other pop singers all the time: madonna, beyoncé, taylor, etc... so ultimately people will be people, focus on your own energy rather than theirs because otherwise you'll always be frustrated at them when they don't even think about it. :kara:

Every time Beyonce gets read/dragged a lot of yall love claiming misogyny and racism, when most of those doing the reading/dragging are fans of female artists and POC artists, like can we please stop diluting the meaning of misogyny and racism when it really does not apply? Someone not liking Beyonce doesn’t make them racist or sexist (I know that some absolutely are, not saying it doesn’t exist, but let’s be fr lol

but anyway, yall should know by now to NOT trust The Sun, ever lol they’re always full of sh*t

It's not just the reads and drags, its the tone and the way it happens in this community compared to other kinds of artists. Whether you can pick up on it or not, whether its consciously done by users on here or not, it hits different.

It's been called out many times over the years and its way more than an excuse to fall back on, but obviously that isn't something that a lot of people want to actually acknowledge on ggd.

This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

"a source said" :river:

The only other source I could find for anything even remotely similar was a Daily Mail article with the headline "Beyonce struggling to sell HUNDREDS of tickets her UK show TONIGHT"

They proceeded to detail the allegations against Jay-Z, share how angry fans are about the ticket prices, and mentioned the Renaissance Tour being pretty recent

All before revealing that there are a whopping 539 unsold tickets at a venue that seats 62,000

Idk why anyone bothers with this tabloid trash, it's all stupid

💅Too cute to be this overworked and underf*cked💅

I always think of the poor graduates who spent four years in uni, studying journalism, dreaming of Democracy Now! and toppling regimes. Only to end up at the Daily Mail writing about Mel B's gammy foot :air:

Bey’s fans really love to play the misogynistic/racist card all the damn time, it’s crazy. :brat: Why doesn’t Rihanna receive the same treatment as Bey then? Make it make sense

The truth is that Gaga fans (and MPG fans in general) are DRASTICALLY more negative towards male artists, criticizing them 24/7 about how basic they are, how untalented they are, how horrible/dirty they look, how they don’t make any effort, how seriously or unseriously they take themselves, how they use “queerbaiting” even when they do nothing.

It is clearly the GP that puts men on a pedestal, not pop gay fans.

The thing is that nearly all fanbases (gay or straight) come for any artist/celebrity that’s somehow opposed to their fave at a specific time. Some of these “battles” last over time (Bey/Gaga, Bey/Taylor, Bey/Rihanna, Selena/Justin, Gaga/Katy etc.) and that’s why the negativity is more constant. Just talk about Ronaldo to a Messi fan and see what happens :lmao:
