I think if Gaga DOES release it as a single, she should collab w Taylor otherwise people just say the song is a dated Taylor swift rip off - like they said about BTW (even though BTW was still able to hold her own…I do not feel the same way about HBDYWM)

 

HOWEVER- collaborating with Taylor swift will result in “oh it’s an Ariana grande song, oh it’s a Bruno mars song . Oh it’s a Taylor song.  Gaga can’t get a solo hit confirmed “

HBDYWM is definitely the most commercially sensible choice. I just LOATHE that that is the reality

Literally only this forum and nobody else is entertaining that narrative . Swifties already know the song, and they like it. Not one person, outside this forum, has negatively reacted to the perceived similarities with Taylor's music. Everyone thinks it's cute and doesn't care 

So this catastrophic scenario of "She has to feature Taylor or she'll get dragged" is already not a thing . Now, WITH THAT BEING SAID... 

I think it would be cute for Taylor to be involved in some capacity. Whether as a remix feature, or a cameo in the music video, it would be cute

Frankly, this whole thing is distressing. It is distressing in the first place that Gaga would record a song that sounds like it was written by Taylor Swift (Gaga is one of the greats of rock n roll and should therefore confine herself to recording good music, not this lifeless, forgettable, oh look what a nice little doggy woggy stuff). It is further distressing that when she performs this song live she is dressed like that woman, made up to look like that woman and even skips around the stage like that woman. And now, not only is there talk that she is going to release this thing as a single, but some people are suggesting that she might collab with the Duchess of Dreary herself. I feel ill. Where are my pearls ?
