Recently I ate a purple cake 💜 The next day when I defecated, I noticed that the stools were light green in colour. They also had a fruity, creamy smell rather than usual. This had never happened to me before.

I know that purple artificial food colouring can have red and blue dyes, and when the blue dye which didn't get digested properly could've reacted with the yellowish bile, it could turn green.

Then I thought about Chromatica Oreos. Its cream had a green food colouring, so it's possible to defecate green stools. Did anyone of you eat Chromatica Oreos and had this experience?

Not the fruity, creamy smell got me intrigued :laughga:  Was it a red velvet?

It was Ube cake. Ube is a kind of purple yam from Philippines.

I ended up buying a lot of the Chromatica Oreos and even made an Oreo cheesecake out of it which was so cute cause it had a pink crust. I don’t recall any weird GI issues or technicolor 💩
