The fact this got such a better score than Something Beautiful is confusing to me. :enigma:

Sadly Pitchfork has always been biased against Miley. Her highest scored project on there is a 6.2 or something like that. And it was even worse with Something Beautiful because they had someone who typically only writes about indie/rock review the album.

Anyway, very happy for Addison! It's nice to see a mainstream pop album that was solely written and produced by women get some shine.

Ok knowing that Addison's album was only made by women, and only 4 of them at that, makes me like the album a bit more. I've always been annoyed when female artists call themselves "FEMINISTS" and then only collaborate with men... (Hello Taylor, Beyoncé and Ariana :triggered:). As if women were somehow less capable of writing hit music ... So yes, I'm really happy about that. But I do agree Pitchfork has really high expectations of Miley for some weird reason, like they somehow expect her to be the best artist ever or something and I doubt they expect the same of someone like Tater Tot or Addison Bae.

They better give it her, high fashion alone clears anything by new artists. :ororomunroe:

It's the second best album of the year imo right after Mayhem. It's fun, unique, interesting, has fresh melodies, fun lyrics, and beautiful production / vocal arrangements. Self-written album and only produced by 2 women. :applause:
