This motivated me to do some research. It seems to be really rare for an artist to win ROTY and/or SOTY, within consecutive years. Kendrick won ROTY and SOTY in 2025, so there's a 10% chance he can win these awards in 2026 (ty ai for this stat). It is possible (Billie Eilish in 2020 and 2021) but very rare. This make me think that Kendrick might win AOTY and Abra might win SOTY and/or ROTY? Idk how ROTY works tbh.

Yes, statistically it’s rare this happens. I don’t see how any other song other than Luther could win ROTY, but SOTY I do think Abra has a shot, specifically because winning both ROTY and SOFT on the same year back to back is unheard of. Billie’s case was rare and she only won ROTY. Now imagine Kendrick which one both.

It would be so wonderful to see her snatch that album of the year at the Grammy’s.
