lastpopicon 28,417
https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-lists/best-albums-2025-1235342974/lady-gaga-mayhem-1235343021/ Rolling Stone calls Lady Gaga’s MAYHEM “the year’s strongest pop release yet” and includes it in their best albums of 2025 (so far) list: “In the lead-up to Lady Gaga’s latest album, MAYHEM, there was a lot of talk about Gaga returning to her roots. For Little Monsters, it’s been too long. MAYHEM is the type of fan service that doesn’t dilute the artist herself. Gaga feels like her most authentic self from start to finish on this album: There’s no characters, concepts, or aesthetic impulses overshadowing the songs. Instead, she’s made one of her most sonically challenging and uniform albums yet: a mix of Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie, Prince and her Fame Monster-era self, rolled into the year’s strongest pop release yet.” The melody that you choose can rescue you 7 37 8

Wet Fire 7,278
Mayhem is truly one of the most endearing yet stratospheric releases by an MPG, capturing everything that made the artist a living legend, incorporating every key inspiration in their creative life, yet making it incredibly forward-facing, fresh and wholesome. It's a gift that will keep on giving. I'm so very proud of Gaga and I cannot wait to see all the amazing things she will do next. It truly feels like a new beginning Edited June 5 by Wet Fire 2 15

Batwings 12,870
The description is really interesting because the first time my partner listened to it, he said, "This could be a Nine Inch Nails album!" After he said that, I really started noticing the Trent Reznor vibes.
Lucas 26,180
It's truly a great album, solid 8/10. The one thing I appreciate the most about this album is truly Gaga's vocals on the first 6 tracks. You can tell she had so much fun in the studio playing with her voice and the ways she's singing. You can tell she put efforts into her vocals and truly used it as an INSTRUMENT to make the music ever greater, I ****ing love it
