Why Doesn't Gaga use Live Backup Singers?

Didn't she use backup singers during some of her tours? It was, if I recall correctly, a mixture of studio backing tracks and live backup vocals during the Monster Ball and artRave. You can even see them during the Paris artRave, but it's like their mic output wasn't audible on the stream. Now I don't remember if any backup singers were featured on the BTW Ball, Joanne or Chromatica tours.

Personally, I do not particularly prefer any of the two options, backup singers or backing track. As long as her vocals are front and center, both are fine. Unfortunately, in many parts of the Mayhem Shows recently streamed (Coachella, Copacabana), her voice was drowned out by the track, which was unfortunate. I also noticed she added more main vocals to the tracks than before, which I also do not enjoy as it takes away from the live singing. BTW and Bad Romance for example both featured the studio vocals during the verses at Copacabana and Coachella week 2. And the Tudum performance, as great as it was, also featured the studio vocals during the Zombieboy bridge. That really confused me.

One second I'm a troll, then suddenly the troll is me.

Who knows, but the ones on Monster Ball were great, she could do something like that in the future.

Besides that tour she hasn't really had backing singers unless it was for a special occasion, such as others have mentioned before (artrave in Paris, superbowl, ARTPOP performance, etc).

That's weird, I was just wondering this and then saw this thread.

I tend to prefer backing singers over a backing track with recorded vocals.
