We're talking about socially awkward, peculiar people. Taylor Swift's demographic is the average straight girl. Not even "basic white girl" because she's huge in Latin America too, my cousin is obsessed with her, and she's not white. 

The kind of girl who likes rom-coms, wants to get married, watches makeup tutorials on youtube for looks they'll never recreate, has a pinterest board full of aesthetics they'll never pursue, etc. They really aren't the same demographic, IMO .

Now, if you mean they are similar in attitude... IDK, maybe? I'm not that deep into Taylor's fandom TBH 

The first thing that made me think of that was that HBDUWM sounded like a Disney song to me, then when I read comments here saying it sounded like a Taylor song, everything suddenly made sense to me. I also used to have a friend who was a Disney adult (she actually works at Disneyland now I think). Let's just say she was very childish and that's the main reason we fell out. And, yes, she's also a Taylor Swift fan

honestly, if HBDUWM sounded like some TS records, it would be more on the vein of her relatively older material like 1989 and Reputation and maybe Lover. i just don't get the same energy from anything TS released since 2020 (folklore onwards)... or maybe because i wasn't listening to a lot of post-COVID TS.

Idk about the others but I'm aware that TS didn't invent the sound itself. I mean, we're Gaga fans after all. 

It's just that the lyricism and the way she enunciate some of the lyrics remind me (and some of the people here) of Taylor. It's not impossible since Gaga loves to reference people. It's not like a 'copycat' thing.

I currently added HBDUWM along All You Had To Do Was Stay, Cruel Summer, Blank Space and it's a very smooth experience

This is one of the biggest reaches I've ever seen in this forum 

The only thing that Gaga's doing more in these shows and makes me think of Taylor is that she's posing more... Taylor doesn't dance, doesn't sing and doesn't have any stage presence, she's just a poser and Gaga's doing more of that on stage 

EDIT: I just read the last part and it sounds so bitter  In my mind it didn't sound so harsh

I'm sure Taylor Swift is aware of the "beautiful gowns" memes, and knows the "pop singers vs divas" videos on YouTube, etc. I just don't think she gives too much credit to that narrative. 

Not to the point of rejecting a GaGa collab at least. Do I believe this collab WILL happen? no, I don't think it will, for schedulling issues. But that won't be because Taylor is afraid of comparisions, I don't think she cares, lol. 

I'll say I *hope she wouldn't care but I know being in the spotlight is hard and has historically been hard for her. I'm not saying she's a horrible singer, but I think putting almost anyone on a track with Gaga is like "aw mannnnn" bc even those uncredited background vocals she did around the Joanne era (i forget the song name now lol) were just so insanely big and over the top it took the entire attention from the rest of the otherwise lovely song hahaha So it's not necessarily shade to Taylor, more that her voice just isn't built to go as BIG as Gaga's and I guess I'm just trying to say I feel like I could see a world where an artist whose voice is more singer songwriter than THEATER GLAM would be a little reticent to collab with the latter bc they might just get a little lost in the song not on a talent level. But like I said, I *hope she'd feel differently
