your first comment made it seem as if hs is the only thing she got going and even you latter basically admitted it's not true

If some of the projects she's done are not for you that's totally fine but that does not mean they don't matter!

I think you are just offended by the conceit of this entire conversation and any critique of her career, my comments have been diplomatic and level headed and I never once implied something she did doesn’t matter. Good day!

I mean Engima wasnt her best work there's no denying that.

But Chromatica wasn't half baked, it was abandoned due to the pandemic.

And Love for Sale was never going to be promoted/toured in the same way Cheek to Cheek was because of Tony's health issues. I wouldn’t call it half baked.

And just to throw Harlequin in - that album got dropped as fast as humanly possible because of how badly JFAD was recieved.

I don't think we can blame any of it on Haus Labs.

She has Haus Labs now and look at  the Mayhem era. She's doing random tv promo, she's just finished the promo tour to end all promo tours. She's the only one of her standing holding their own in the streaming charts. She's got a sold out tour coming up as well.

I wasn’t saying the promo was half baked, I don’t care about promo haha. Love For Sale is markedly worse than Cheek to Cheek, and it’s because it is only Cole Porter covers instead of a variety of different artists. I love Harlequin and don’t care about the short era, I stream all the time. And ever since Mayhem was released, I can’t stand about half of Chromatica anymore. But of course, those are just my opinions.

Doesn't bother me regardless. Most musicians need to hustle more in streaming age because they cannot make money anymore solely from music. Unless you're  the type of musicians who got it figured it out like Taylor Swift. The streaming money is not that good, hence they had to branch out, as well as make the merch and concerts prices a little bit insane lately.

I mean take a look around, the celebrities that have make up line or any other brands  are mostly pop musicians. You don't see A lister acting gods and goddesses doing this cos the money is still there in movies.

any critique of her career

I have no issue criticizing her when I don't agree with something she's done (and don't mind anybody disagreeing with it when I do!) so idk why you making this assumption based on this one convo

you said she did not have much time for else and I showed you it was not true, discussion could have ended right there... it's really not that serious!

I mean cover albums of specific famous jazz artists is pretty standard for jazz albums.

So I just think Love for Sale wasn't for you.

And tbh if you're calling albums half baked because she's got less time to spend on them. Then its selective bias to ignore the era.

It truly is that serious actually. I think we need to brawl tbh.

No but in all seriousness I do see your point and I apologize for making assumptions, at the end of the day Gaga is doing what she wants and that’s what matters. It’s been really slow at work the past two days so I’m just saying anything.

That’s an interesting video, but I don’t see how that explains your thinking that she will sell the brand? The video basically just goes over her own rebrands over the years. The creator even explains that by Haus Labs making quality products, the goodwill of the brand transfers onto Gaga herself, which is true.

What is your definition of “a lot of people”? There is no brand with zero negative reviews, and with Haus Labs I believe the positive reception outweighs it by far. It’s one of Sephora’s top brands and growing every year, I see no logical reason for Gaga to sell it.

It’s actually this video here they talked about the future possibility of the brand, enjoy!

That’s another video that talks about Haus Labs’ success… The Fall and Rise of Haus Labs. I’m sorry but are you even watching the videos you’re sending lol. None of these answer my initial question as to why you think Gaga is going to sell the brand. :laughga:

But I also see you’ve created a thread claiming that the brand is dying. Tbh it seems like you don’t want it to do well so Gaga will be done with it and focus solely on music, which is common wish within this fanbase, but that’s too bad because it clearly here to stay.

What is wrong with u keep challenging me about the brand’s direction? Why can’t she sell an established beauty brand as a celebrity entrepreneur? Is that offensive to you?

If you listen carefully to what the YouTubers are saying, even if gaga had left the company tomorrow, Haus labs would still be a solid brand. It’s not my opinion but various professional inputs and forecasts. Is that too difficult for you to understand?

I’m not challenging you on anything? Literally all I did was reply to you saying she’s going to sell the brand asking why.  To which you never gave a solid answer.

Ffs Ashley… (not me teaching marketing on here but here we go) :bradley:

Here is your concrete answer- the current haus labs (re)brand was literally set up to be sold at some point. It’s their long term vision and intention. That’s why Haus labs are selling at Sephora, being ‘clean n innovative’ and set at a luxury price range. It’s all intentions. Just like how ELF had just purchased Rhode for a billion.

Gaga isn’t Hailey Bieber who needs to sell her brand for one billion dollars lmao. :air: She’s on the road to achieving billionaire status already.

i really cannot see Gaga selling haus labs anytime soon, considering how involved she is in the project and that she's actually doing this out of want rather than management pressure

if she was just the face and the name then maybe but this project has a spot by her side and she will probably only sell if it starts losing her too much money or if she ends up with way too much on her plate (maybe after having kids)

mother, what must i do?
