Also Gaga’s makeup brand comes from an authentic place. Gaga has always enjoyed inhabiting other personas and creating sometimes extreme looks, as part of her art and has been open about how she felt makeup was such an important tool in creating these personas and looks. It’s such an important tool for her. Taylor has never used makeup in the same way, her brand was always on her being authentic and relatable girl with a guitar, not doing what Gaga was doing. It wouldn’t make sense for Taylor to have a makeup line, but it seems a natural extension of Gaga’s passions. Let’s not say that just because Taylor doesn’t do it, therefore Gaga’s passion business is just a “cash grab”. Taylor is obviously not above pure cash grabs either, selling her fans 40+ versions of the same album over time by just adding one new song each time and or a way to create a puzzle out of four albums covers. I mean girl.

I mean all these 2000's popstars who launched their brand often had to do their own makeup for a while then got the best make up artists doing their tricks on them for years and years.

They're not proper make up artists but I bet they often know more than some beauty YouTubers successfully launching their brand. 😊

Bey has hair care brand, perfumes line, Ivy Park.

Taylor had a perfume line and now she has variants productions.

I don't see how different it is than a makeup brand, same cheap attempts to make extra money out of their fans

Haus Labs will probably be sold to a giant company like L’Oréal or ELF at some point with Gaga being the origin of the brand story rather than the owner.

Honestly she is not a capitalist queen! She makes money for other people/Disney but not herself it seems. Dead Petz was free, no makeup, no perfume, no brand in general. She has a charity or whatever Happy Hippy was, I love that for her.

Let's not act like we all weren't small bits disappointed to see one of her Instagram posts be another makeup plug rather than a music announcement. 2019 and 2020 were almost fully Haus Labs posts. The only tease for Chromatica for like 2 years was the Babylon mix on the original commercial.

My Girlfriends are really into high end make up brands, and they love Haus Labs.
