Bronco 9,719
Joanne It's a good album, but a weak Gaga album. It lacks any real Gaga flair beyond John Wayne & Dancin in Circles. Like there's nothing wrong with it, and I love the genres she experimented with. But I think because I love the genres she experimented with, I already have better options for when I want that specific itch scratched.
Tina Velikova 2
Joanne. I love the fact that it's the era that solidified me as a little monster. I honestly love the overall sound of the album; I listen to it when I'm in the mood for more striped back music. I love that it stands out from Gaga's other eras and showcases her versatility. for some reason it gives me summer album vibes and those are my favourite. also Dancin' In Circles is one of my all time favourites Gaga songs. it's not that I hate Joanne, it's just that the rest of her catalogue comes closer to my taste. I taste the last words that you spoke to me like wine

Gorehound 4,635
Gotta be Joanne for me. Sorry. That album just never clicked for me, so much so that I even forget it exists these days. I know lots of fans love it and that’s great, and the songs aren't necessarily bad to me or anything, but I just don’t dig the direction she took musically or visually. For what was meant as her big “singer/songwriter” moment it felt very meek and lost, with a heavy concern about toning down her image so she could regain popularity; and I think A Star Is Born did a much better job at really showing what higher levels she could take that. I understand that her mental state and popularity was in a really bad way after ARTPOP, but Joanne just felt like it was made in defeat of that, and not really knowing which direction to take. Her previous four albums felt uniquely Gaga and full of power and confidence in her work, but for Joanne I felt like most of those songs had already been done before by other artists and done way better. However what I do like about Joanne is the overall theme of addressing family trauma. That's very interesting and relatable, but I don't rly think she pulled that theme off very well at all. monstertoronto 9,652
Joanne. But I appreciate how it apparently helped get her the superbowl, which was such an important milestone for her. And I loved the tour.

RochestrMonstr 3,035
Chromatica. It’s a well made, very polished EDM album. Fans of EDM as a genre love this one. That’s why I don’t love it as much, as I’m not into that kind of EDM. Gaga’s albums are all over the place, with rawness showing up everywhere. That’s all missing on Chromatica.

That is a religious experience for REAL. This! Sinner's Prayer is my favorite song on the album, that bassline is orgasmic
Panchecco 17,529
Joanne because she started to see herself as a separate entity from Gaga the artist and as a fan I struggle to relate to her at that time. But it was a necessary step for her and it gave us some of the best performances of her career. I love Perfect Illusion so that song alone made it all worth it. Also I loved that we got a trilogy for the music videos! Spoiler even though Million Reasons is a terrible video

That is a religious experience for REAL. One of the last songs my grandpa learned to play on the guitar was Sinner's Prayer He grew up with country and just adored that song. He was gonna teach me how to play it too but the neuropathy made playing excruciating. Now I've inherited his guitar and every time I pick it up and even think about learning that song it feels like daggers flying through me Joanne will always be my favorite album just 'vause I connected with it in ways I haven't since I was a baby being introduced to MJ 💔thought we'd last a lifetime when I'm mumbling alone💔 2

Franch Toast 26,504
Chromatica "911" really is catchy as all get out, and feels well-developed and complete, not to mention the iconic transition from "Chromatica II" into the track and the video film. I usually don't listen to Chromatica , but I was streaming Gaga yesterday (no particular album, just her songs), and "911" came on, and I was like yassss, this song is soooo good.
