Haha thank you! I definitely have accidentally gotten them obsessed with Abracadabra and Disease. Even my 15 year old is always singing it. He stayed up with us to watch Coachella. My husband wasn't a Gaga fan and now totally respects her. He was mostly into industrial music but appreciates Gaga. I haven't told the kids where we are going yet so I'm excited for them

But this is the stuff that bothers me- I’ll take all the promo I can get, whether it’s performances of classics or new material. No harm in getting excited for that possibility.

But in no way is MAYHEM underperforming. It’s #19 in its 11th week, which is incredible given she’s a 39 year old pop star with a largely established fanbase that makes her sales concentrated upon release. 

And I do mean incredible, considering that in week 11:

1. Chromatica = #43

2. Joanne = #39

3. ESV = #34

4. Cowboy Carter = #30

5. eternal sunshine = #16

Let me just make clear that even if the era ends right now with no further singles/EP, it would still be a massive success and career re-peak, Abra and DWAS are global smashes and she's culturally relevant like she hasn't been in a long time, not to mention the promo shows, setting multiple world records and personal records.

With that said, I think they have a plan, the success we are enjoying this era is not an accident, her team is actually dialed in, if you think about it, it was masterful, the grammy's promo captured the attention of the US public, then Coachella followed, where she delivered her best live performance ever (IMO), even long time fans were gagged, and her numbers SKYROCKETED after it, then she captures the Latin America market with Copabacana/Mexico and the Asian market with Singapore, this era feels CALCULATED and very carefully crafted.

The insane success and re-peak we are seeing this era is not a "happy mistake", and it's not even because MAYHEM is a good album (It is a good album, but I'm trying to make a point ), it's because her team actually created the scenario where success is almost inevitable with gaga's insane talent.

Tl;dr:

I don't believe they will let this promo spot go to waste.

I was mostly addressing the single comment.

Although, a deluxe now would help the album immensely, especially to keep the album in the AOTY conversation.

It's doing pretty great tbf... She's not a streaming monster like Billie, Ariana and Taylor are for some reason... I think most Ariana and Taylor albums are very mid yet they are always getting big numbers. And I don't get the appeal for Billie's music (but I like some of her songs)  Gaga's getting there tho
