very curious, in what regard? because in the U.S. it carries a bad connotation bc of how it steals from artists, devalues labor, makes kids using it in school less smart, etc. there *are* positive applications of AI technology, for sure, but basically every consumer-facing version of it here is crap and/or promotes a culture of laziness and dumbness lol like, do we need AI to produce slop blogs no one reads? no lol do we need it to write essays for us or make movies? its applications that are most widely publicized are just silly and kind of dumb so a lot of people in the U.S. don't like it (though that's not to say everyone)

 

and honestly these are valid concerns. if young people are thinking less critically to do their work bc of a tool available then that should absolutely be ringing alarm bells

it's an artist thing.  ai takes money from us.  anything we spend hours doing, ai can do in two seconds.  i'm broke because i can't get commissions due to ai.  whatever i could draw for someone for a reasonable fee, they can just get it for free from ai.
