What the heck is Chromatica?

I actually love the album but I hate the title because I have no idea what it is or what it means. The concept is so weakly developed, it's almost as vague as ARTPOP. I wish it had been called something else. What is Chromatica and what does it mean?

i always viewed it as the name of the fictional planet she created. The planet she goes to in her perfect, imaginary world.

It has to do with colour as explained in comments above mine, and it is apt I think because sonically the album is bright and colourful.

Chromatica the planet does not actually exist. That was jusr a thingy she invented for the Stupid Love video which was shot on an iphone so that everyone could see all the lovely iphone colours because she was in league with Apple at the time (maybe she still is).

That comment is the most elaborative and related to the concept of the album... .

Each color for a tribe she was going on. And if it's true that it means the inclusion of all 12 tones, then Sine From Above has a lot more sense, so tie the points together and realize it's a journey and escapism from pain and trauma trough colors and music.
