Probably just a place to show her vids, but the way they chose the word “Vault” is suspicious. Why not just MVs or anything like that

I mean, a "vault" is a place where valuable items are stored. A section of her website dedicated to her past music videos... does fit the definition of the word :laughga:.

I do wish she released her demos though, I will never understand her idea of them having no artistic value, just because they have cheaper production. In visual arts, an artist's sketches are considered vital steps in their creative process; they consitute a visual insight into the painting's structure, and how the artist builds composition, etc.

If you were to tell an art schollar that an unfinished sketch has no artistic value, and as such, should not be available to the public, you'd be laughed off the room. So it IRKS me so much that she sees demos as "lesser than", simply because they weren't polished into oblivion by 300 producers :Cautious:.

Those recordings are a part of her creative process, and THEY DO hold artistic value. In the same way a painter's sketch does.

And this is personal thing for me, but I very often tend to prefer demos over "finished" album tracks. This is the demo for The Gathering's "Probably Built In The Fifties", a hard, intense, moody prog-metal track, with a cinematic atmosphere:

Now, this is the inferior album version, with a much weaker chorus, and a softer guitar approach:

THE DOWNGRADE is insane :air:. And I could continue doing this all day, but I don't want to derail this thread too much :icant:.

But yes, I wish she released her demos too, and I disagree with her idea that it would be a "cheap" move. That's still her music, and there is still value in it :vegas:

I got Judas :firega:

I found the the individual album pages and descriptions rather interesting through :enigma:

Hope The Vault proves to have potential for future slayage and isn't just a fancy name for prior album history

The Fame Monster listed as "Album" not EP ❤️ love this as she always view it as a separate era/album than just an EP
