Nite 5,352
I never got into Harry Potter at all and missed that there's a remake entirely, is there a reason for it? Is it just to tell the books more detailed or to add more stories that don't exist yet at all? It really seems so soon for one. I know I'd be very critical of remakes of franchises I love, like Buffy and X Files, so I can imagine it's the same here.

I think a direct sequel, with new young people, set literally in 2025 would catch imagination. Rowling may control the IP though and could be intentionally restricting any such stories to be created, which would be a shame. Man, they could do so much, I actually liked what they did with the grimewald vs dumbledore, it was always something that fascinated me as a kid, the execution though... Let's not talk about that. I think it would be so cool going back to the founders, how it was creating the school, or even how Hogwarts was in the first few years after being founded, the intrigue between founders, ancient magic, so many cool topics and possibilities. But the movies are already so iconic and well-regarded. It just seems like an impossibly high bar for them to reach and/or overcome. 10 minutes ago, Ziggy said: They tried it with fantastic beasts and are scared to venture out now tbh even tho you’re right I watched the first Fantastic Beasts movie, but not the others. Unfortunately, I don't remember much from it. I think the issue was that the characters weren't interesting and that it was set way in the past. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎

Bellatrix 34,694
Nope, this will not exist to me. Why does there have to be remakes of everything these days? Bring something new to the table instead of ruining good classic movies just to milk more money out of them

I watch them daily or have them on as back ground noise daily but i think now its to now get the books even more expanded plus with what she added with POTTERMORE, there so much more details now. -Mark

Main reason i'm hyped for the series idc cancel me, it's my childhood im just excited for them to fully go with the books https://linktr.ee/jamalholt 1

It's a reject in a big part of the Potter community. And the controversies around Rowling won't help. Mark my words, they won't make the seven seasons, or they will cut some budget during the run.
