It's sad that this is the world we live in. People make thousands of dollars just tearing people down over dumb stuff. One side is going to complain no matter what. Because "being ignored" is subjective anyways. Splitting a crowd like that is insanely bad design, and put him in a terrible spot. If I were an aspiring artist, I'd choose the crowd that actually has a social media following. Because the "regular fans" complaining would be less likely to go viral. It's not that he necessarily cares more about the influencers, it could be that if he's gonna be filmed and bashed he would rather it be by people who aren't gonna just ruin his career more. It's literally all just a hate train. I'm not gonna say he can't be a bad person or fame hungry. But saying "he doesn't care about his fans" is a stretch when he was just on tour last year and would take pictures/sign stuff for EVERYONE that waited for him after his shows. My friends and I waited for him for 2 hours after the show and he came out and spoke to the crowd of people telling them it's super late so he can't sign AND take pictures so we as a crowd would choose one. Everyone chose pictures so he had a friend hold up a flashlight behind the person's phone to better the lighting and he went down a line taking pictures with every single person/group. On top of that, he spent plenty of time during the show talking to the crowd.
