andy232000 11,042
My god, an album does not need a political statement to win AOTY guys. Just cause 1 or 2 winners happened to say something like that it doesn’t make it a trend. The Grammys tend to award the artist that dominated the year and campaigned for it. Both Kendrick and Gaga should aim for the “overdue” narrative, as both have been snubbed several times. Also, “hits” don’t matter as much as people think. As long as the song had some sort of impact, the commercial success comes second. And lastly, this is still a very much American Market. While Bad Bunny is a force globally, his album has done nothing in the US (and he’s skipping the whole country for his tour) I’ve been predicting the Grammys for three years now, and have managed to get almost everything right year after year. These will be Gaga’s nominations/win as of now: Album of The Year (nomination is on lock, win is within reach) Abracadabra - ROTY/SOTY (nominations on lock, win is within reach) Mayhem - Best Pop Vocal Album (nomination and win on lock) Abracadabra - Best Pop Dance Recording (Nomination and Win on lock) Disease/3rd Single - Best Pop Solo Performance (Will lose it to Wildflower or Anxiety) Abracadabra - Best Music Video (Nomination on lock, Win is within reach) Harlequin - Best Traditional Pop Album (Nomination on lock, Will lose it to Barbara Straissand. Without Tony’s name, Gaga doesn’t have much force) Mayhem Best Engineered Album-Non Clasical (Will win, but Gaga won’t be credited) Abra Gesaffelstein Version - Best Remixed Recording (Gaga not credited) Edited 17 hours ago by andy232000
Vanish Into You 141
DWAS was probably her best shot to win and it didn't I don't see Abra even be nominated tbh

DWAS also spent 5 weeks at #1, nothing to scuff at. Plus, DWAS enjoys 38 weeks at the top 10, while luther only has 19 weeks, the jury is still out on what the bigger hit is, I don't doubt luther longevity but atm we can't really tell. This is just the USA ofc, DWAS eclipses Luther globally, DWAS is def the bigger hit overall. The melody that you choose can rescue you

Ok but this has nothing to do with my point because GNX has another chart topping single as well and DWAS already got awarded. I would love for Mayhem to win AOTY, I'm just saying it's more likely going to be GNX at this point. I said Luther was almost as big a hit as DWAS and that's not even taking Squabble Up into account cuz I'm trying to make a prediction which overall album has a bigger shot of AOTY Edited 13 hours ago by 4th Time Around Hey, I'm king of the world, you ought to hear my song, you come on measure me, I'm twenty inches long

Nagini 1,631
Kendrick will come out with another album praised by apologist critics everywhere licking his feet thinking a simple word is a deep message from God himself. Legit a rap version of Beyonce/Taylor, the praise is just overrated and unfounded. When will they release themselves from this chokehold... meanwhile the girl who can actually sing, write, play instruments, perform, and is a fully conceived artist who permanently changed culture (and forced all aforementioned artists to do better) is just waiting for someone to give her a flower like come on...
