I think those branches are just to organize better the whole thing... There's a lot going on on TV and if just one organization sees everything, it would be very difficult to handle. Just like awarding everything in one night...

It's probably because it's Superbowl and everybody in the Sports Academy is watching her sing a gorgeous a song. You don't forget things that are emotional. Also why VIY needs to be a single.

Hard to overstate that this performance was in response to a horrific domestic terrorist attack. It’s an iconic and meaningful moment with or without the Emmy, but she certainly deserves to win this award!

I just had never even heard of Sport Emmy’s so I googled it and saw both narratives that it counts and that it doesn’t. Naturally I saw the Stan discourse too. But it was just a genuine question. The Mexico gross thing is just plain stupid lol.

This low key made the Tony even harder to get because if she ever enters the broadway sphere the immediate reaction could be “oh she’s just doing it to get the EGOT,” which could turn voters off. Gaga is easily the biggest star with EGO status now and isn’t held to the same standard as everyone else. We saw that with how she was scrutinized for the 100 people in a room quote even though actors repeat things all the time when promoting a film.
