Flowers had a good devastating love story behind it and the “answer song” to Bruno added more curiosity to the myth about it.

If u remove these 2 reasons, Flowers wouldn’t have the same success at all.

Honest to God my like for the song had nothing to do with Bruno Mars.  I never once put two and two together on that.  It was just a good pop song and the production on the chorus was damn catchy.
