Tbh she does wtf she wants with her music so it will always be a hit or miss

Flowers had a good devastating love story behind it and the “answer song” to Bruno added more curiosity to the myth about it.

If u remove these 2 reasons, Flowers wouldn’t have the same success at all.

Reading her interviews, she's not actually looking for any type of chart success with this album, it's a passion project she felt confident pursing after flowers success.

Not everything has to be charts, artists shouldn't be afraid of putting out good music because it might not chart well.

I‘ll die on the hill that the success of Flowers was driven more by the breakup narrative than the song itself. That story snowballed on millenial TikTok, and the virality pushed it to radio. It’s a decent track, but the hype felt more about the drama than the music.
