Gaga, Please Don’t Let Music Become Exclusive — We Need You Across Asia

“This is not aimed at Gaga. It’s about how Asia is becoming increasingly exclusive — and that’s the problem."

=========================================================

Dear Gaga, Haus of Gaga, and everyone who may read this,

We, the fans across Asia, write this with nothing but love and respect. We've followed Gaga through every era, streamed her music endlessly, celebrated her triumphs, and stood by her messages of kindness, bravery, and inclusion.

But today, we feel hurt. And more than that — we feel forgotten.

In 2025, it’s been reported that Lady Gaga will hold her only Asian show exclusively in Singapore. Just one country, one city, for an entire continent. And while we understand the logistics, the budgets, the politics behind touring, this kind of regional exclusivity sends a message — intentional or not — that some fans matter more than others.

Gaga, you’ve always said music is for everyone. You’ve always championed those who feel unseen, unheard, left out.

But when shows are locked behind exclusive deals — where one country gets everything and the rest of Asia gets nothing — that promise begins to fade.

This isn’t about blaming Singapore.
This isn’t even about blaming you.

This is about a system of exclusivity that turns concerts into auctions, where only the highest bidder gets to participate.
And as Asian fans, we’re tired of being reduced to streaming numbers and then sidelined when the music finally comes to life on stage.

Music is meant to connect. Music is meant to be fair.
We hope that artists like you — who have always stood for what’s right — will recognize how these deals hurt fans across borders. We hope you’ll choose to say no to models that divide rather than unite.

We’re not asking for the world.
We’re just asking to be seen. To be considered. To be included.

Because we’re not just Asia.
We’re Monsters, too.

With love and kindness Lady Gaga Art GIF

Fans across Asia 🖤

To some Lildos below:

It’s easy to dismiss this as a “non-issue” when you’re not an Asian fan.
But let me paint the reality: When there’s only one exclusive show in all of Asia, fans from countries like Japan, Korea, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, and more…
– have to pay international flights
– cover hotel costs
– fight for limited tickets
– and spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars …just to attend the only show on their entire continent.

This isn’t entitlement. It’s exhaustion. So no, it’s not a non-issue. It’s a recurring burden that only Asian fans seem expected to accept without question.

So before you make a joke about it, imagine if your continent got the same treatment.
Imagine if Europe got one show. Would you still call it a “non-issue”?:triggered:

I’m pretty confident that she’ll be doing an Asian leg next year (I can’t see her skipping Japan, much less SK), but I’m interested…in what way did Asian countries allow for the exclusivity?

By having less money to throw at international acts than Singapore.

What do you mean? It’s not about money, honey.

Kamala Harris Judging You GIF by Saturday Night Live
Countries like Japan, South Korea, Thailand, or even China aren’t short on money — or infrastructure — to host concerts.
This isn’t about capability. It’s about a system that allows one country to buy regional exclusivity while shutting out others.
That’s not fair competition. That’s monopoly — and it goes against everything live music is supposed to represent: openness, connection, and inclusivity.

But it's entirely about money.

Singapore is prepared to pay more than the other nations for the exclusivity, and pay to the extent it becomes a better option to touring companies than doing multiple Asian nations.

You are right, it's not about capability. They all have the infrastructure. They just aren't prepared to pay the same as Signapore.

Also. I was being sarcastic.

Maybe the SG government didn’t pay this time — but a private company did.
That’s still exclusivity, just under a different name. One city getting the only Asia show still shuts out millions of fans. Call it what it is: a monopoly in disguise.

Oh don’t worry — I’ll be at the Singapore show on the 24th. This isn’t negativity. It’s called critical thinking while holding a ticket. And yes, some countries are conservative — but we’re not asking her to perform in North Korea. There are plenty of Asian countries with the venues, the fans, and the freedom to host her.

So no, this isn’t about 2026 rumors or wishful thinking.
It’s about 2025 being turned into a one-city monopoly — again.

As if Indonesians actually wants her to be there :ororomunroe:

Let me tell you they are calling her a Zionist there now, after calling her a Satanist in 2012, and that's a huge thing cos that country is the largest Muslim country in the world. I don't think she will ever able to visit that place, even if she wanted to. It will be safer for Indonesian monsters to visit neighboring country for her. And most of them agreed.

But anyway, streaming numbers for western artists in SEA always subpar though, no concerts will help the numbers, cos the ones that go to Western pop artists concerts there are fans and already streaming, unlike in Western countries, where FOMo happens. That stuffs only happened to K-Pop artists there. So why is this news?!
