Honestly, watching it again, this acting is not that bad actually, especially when you keep in mind it's a 15 second clip taken out of context. Like he's not gonna win an oscar or anything but it's way better than The Idol.

Honestly the acting was decent even if yeah you do see him acting lol. He's better than in the idol but not good yet, he doesn't deserve the Twitter drag imo....

Agreed! Honestly, if anything maybe the script could have been a bit of an issue. I thought he seemed fine.

For everyone saying this is apparently wildly out of context, I have to know... is he not supposed to be extremely cringy and grossly melodramatic? Am I supposed to not believe his entire character? Like what's the magical context that makes this not unintentionally hilarious?

I'm not claiming he's a great actor but it's really not cartoonishly awful in context. People are treating it like a Gal Gadot clip and its not that.

Gal Gadot clips are different because she always drastically underacts in every role. These clips are are so wildly overacted and jaunty. Unless the context is "this man is intentionally acting horribly on purpose because it's a stylistic choice a la RHPS" I absolutely don't understand how the context could make it any better.

The movie was good tbh. Nothing special, but his acting is way better than in The Idol , and really nice visuals.
