Nagini 2,077
It would be nice but I don't think Beyonce is interested in revisiting and not sure if Gaga is either.
gagzus 15,829
Honestly if the rumours about Beyoncé’s next album being heavily inspired by Rock music it’s the perfect time for Gaga and her to collaborate again

I think Gaga is invested in a Telephone sequel however I don’t know if she means the music video trilogy or a Beyoncé collab since MANiCURE was the original planned sequel and Bey was in the video but not on the song. JINNOCIDE 3,820
I feel like Gaga has said that just for the sake of it lmao Also she never confirmed it to be on Mayhem so I'd hold my expections... STAN RINA SAWAYAMA

eifulien 2,954
I'm not sure about it. Honestly, Telephone as a collab never felt organic between them but ended up being this powerful clash between the newest megastar and an established hit juggernaut. In 2013, however, their careers drifted apart so much with self-titled skyrocketing Bey in her own orbit and Gaga experiencing her downfall. For me the first time there was a logical sequel to Telephone was II Most Wanted. While this territory is new for Yoncé, the GP has largely welcomed Gaga in this adult contemporary style (I mean DWAS's success...). I think it would have worked, it works with Miley as well. Another cool ending to the trilogy could be Killah, I guess. A solo Gaga song works just as well. It started with Paparazzi, after all.

Well, I once read somewhere that they had actually worked on around seven different songs together, but only Video Phone and Telephone (which was originally meant for Britney) ever saw the light of day. Personally, I never felt like their collaboration was forced they were two huge stars, and they came together to boost their careers, which they did brilliantly. Almost 20 years later, people are still begging for more. By the way I don't think Killah is good enough for this. I mean Telephone is not even a top 30 in my ranking of Gaga's discography. Video phone is fine without Gags as well. That's why I can't really see them making magic together. They are just too good on their own. Killah has a very specific vibe and yeah, can't say it matches the Paparazzi and Telephone context. But from MAYHEM is there anything else that could work? I always believed that Aura was going to be the first single from ARTPOP and also the continuation of the trilogy. Besides, the style really fits, it's very cinematic. I also think that if you ask other fans, they'll probably say the same thing. 3 minutes ago, eifulien said: The boost part, I agree with. But did they really do wonders? I think this is why I have no interest in a sequel bc it was clearly a decision made to boost Gaga's success with Beyoncé's star power, and then have a buzzy new artist feature for Beyoncé. Gaga was supposed to be Beyoncé's Colby O'donis but she totally eclipsed her lol Any talk about how they won't work together again bc they're not "close" doesn't make sense since they were never close. I'm sure they were happy to work together but it's not like it was a collaboration born out a real kinship, so any follow up plans are like when you a tell a friend "we should hang out more!!!" but you never do lol

The treatment for a MANiCURE music video from 2012 that leaked a few years ago with the same director (Jonas Akerlund) as the other 2 videos had Beyoncé and other celebrities in it. It was specifically pitched as the sequel at the time and was set in a brothel after Gaga and Beyoncé went on the run from the police. Okay, I’m doing some research but I haven’t been able to find the actual leaked document yet. Still, I’m seeing that it did seem like Beyoncé was going to be in it but not in the song, and even Paris Hilton or Charlie Sheen were mentioned. I'm happy that they scrapped this concept, even though I would’ve liked to see it anyway. I still think Aura was perfect and would’ve been a big opener for ARTPOP.
