iamdna 138
This song deserved at least one major performance or epic video with Elton John: something cosmic, bathed in blue lights, with a space-age aesthetic. Gaga as an alien goddess, Elton in a silver astronaut suit, the stage like a galactic cathedral. I don’t know, but this track is incredible. If I’m not wrong, it originally belonged to Elton and Gaga reworked it, right? This song is literally about finding ourselves without hope and how music has the power to save us. It is a desperate cry to find a way to save oneself in the midst of darkness. Edited May 11 by iamdna 3 3 7
Lord Axel 802
YES It's such an important song for Chromatica's themes and world so I was really disappointed when it wasn't on the tour or even got any performance at all It's one of Gaga's best songs and is basically the BTW of the album - And yes, part of the instrumental was originally an Elton song that the producers reworked for SFA ʟɪᴠɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ ɢᴏʟᴅ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱɪʟᴠᴇʀ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ ϟ†▽✰𝒿 ~Ɐ

It’s such a shame that the song didn’t get the recognition it deserves. To me, it’s one of Gaga’s best tracks. I deeply connect with the lyrics and the emotion of it. It’s more than just a collaboration, it’s a spiritual experience. 1
princedeeblebleble 1,359
I agree, still kinda pissed she paid it dust to the Chromatica ball. The themes, vocal delivery, everything could have been epic in the Babylon act. Heck even as a closer song.

ItalianGuy 16
I sometimes think she pays dust to songs where she didn’t originate them or they came from a demo. She’s just not as connected to them. We know this was a song Elton gave her and they reworked it. Maybe that’s why? I do love it! And it would have been sick in the show. Even if it was part of an interlude.

I was about to say that but then I realized she performed Come To Mama like it was such a highlight, maybe it’s a song she personally didn’t like that much or she might feel like she didn’t Elton’s legacy justice kinda like she felt about The Greatest Thing
rinasawachanta 3,014
It was my favorite the night the record came out. I remember being glassy-eyed the first time I heard it 🥹

I forgot about that. Come to mama’s message must of been the reason.
