Wow, after my horror thread

This franchise fell off after the first movie

the use of CGI looking ghosts or demons with too much camera time have turned them all into family-friendly horror movies instead of something actually scary 

and this looks just like that

I'll see it either way but I can't remember the last time a horror felt unique / terrifying, they all seem to be the same now

Maybe the first conjuring where the mother was in bed and the thing came out of her with a big gasp... or the first time I saw Insidious and the red demon appeared at the dinner table I sh*t my thong

Same for me. Wasn't even a great movie imo, but that jumpscare was so effective.

Okay now I’m remembering how scary Insidious actually was.

The first half of it was so much better than all of the Conjuring movies combined.

Yes! For me it's the man walking back and forth outside the window then appearing in the room

And the red demon on top of the balcony (?) in the further

My holy trinity honestly

(yes i have very strong horror opinions and i will fight )

The Conjuring (2013) is between 4th and 8th place territory

I also love in the 2nd movie he saw that happen which was a well done throwback imo
