Im glad Gaga has her unique way of tributing dear people to her, she did similar with Zombieboy I think Gaga's performance was originally planned for something completely different, and when Bowie passed away, they decided to turn it into a tribute. I loved the facial projection part, the whole performance should have been "Space Oddity" using that technology. But then suddenly she starts jumping around, moving all over the place, everything gets super hectic, anxious, fast, the keyboard moves, the lights go wild, etc. It was kind of cool to watch at first, but I think it could’ve been better, and the technology could’ve been used in a more thoughtful way or for other shows. It’s true the performance is impressive, but for me it felt chaotic. As for Lorde, sure, it was simple but the focus was not on Lorde, was on Bowie and yeah, maybe anyone could’ve done it, but in that moment I liked it. On the other hand, in Gaga's performance, I think she is the center of attention. BUT, I love her channeling Bowie with the orange hair (I think it suits her perfectly), I enjoyed It so much and in the end I'm still a Gaga fan and I never was a Lorde fan.
