It is kinda insane how hard Gaga is slaying compared to her peers and artists that we considered streaming forces back in the day when we were happy Gaga could even manage to get a song to a few 100.000 streams a day. And now we are outstreaming with songs from back in 2009/2011

Woman's World actually did more noise than Azizam

It made more noise for being a flop and all the controversy with Dr. Luke than for being a hit. But a remarkable accolade for sure.

I'm genuinely shocked that Azizam flopped as hard as it has. I thought it was such a bland and short song that was bound to be a hit and would easily hit #1 in the UK at least, like so many of his previous mediocre songs have done. Ed just needs to breathe here and it goes #1 based on sheer name recognition and being generic and British. Ok, it peaked at #3 which is still great and all but his lead singles usually always go #1 here, it's just the way it is. So to see it denied the top was a surprise. Now to hear that Old Phone isn't making the same waves either and it's crazy to suddenly realise that Ed could be on the cusp of his first ever flop era. But then I realised...

This could well be his third consecutive flop era. His last big album was = in 2021 and after that, he really fell off commercially. His acoustic album, -, barely sold and didn't go anywhere. Then there was Autumn Variations, which didn't even have singles or a tour. It may have just been a "side album" of sorts but it was a complete album and it's Ed Sheeran but it did so badly that I'm surprised if most of the public didn't even realise he had an album out. The UK is the only country that truly takes notice of his new releases these days. Now the lead single off his first big pop album in years has underperformed massively and the follow up single not looking good either and it's like, are Ed's glory days over? Of course he'll still sell out stadiums, as he's still currently doing but that's just because he's reached legacy act status, not because of current hits. But why are all those people not buying his music? It'll be interesting to see how well a mainstream pop album performs from him now.

Dear God,

Thank you for letting untalented, milquetoast, Wonder bread eating, unseasoned pink chicken artists flop to the bottom of the charts and into Hell & beyond. Their basic ways and audience IQ of 3 and below are no longer appreciated and I have you to thank for that.

Thank you for letting taste, vibe, and artistry win in 2025. The female MJ is only getting started. :brat:

Lowkey want her to spin this cycle of hatred into gold somehow. I would live for a Katy redemption era :ally:

She has. Go stream Witness and then Smile.

"I do not want to be the kind of artist who has had two successful albums and then feels invincible," Ed explained. "I have to know when to listen to people, or I'll end up like those artists you've interviewed in recent years. You've seen them become the biggest artists in the world, and then suddenly they will say, 'I know everything!' And just after, they are no longer at the top. The smartest thing to do is listen to people who know I do not want to do the Super Bowl years later, after my biggest success, just to prove I'm still relevant."

wow i really wonder if Gaga ever felt unwelcomed in the industry given these high profile industry ppl like him or or the art police shading her like this, im so happy she's now UNDENIABLE. Makes me think how new acts like Chappel or billie have received nothing but love by other contemporaries, criticisms only mainly being directed from the public...

Maybe because the music is not good. And his marketing team is atrocious. I haven't seen any waves regarding his new 'era'.
