So I ranked all of Gaga's albums track-by-track using a points system (1st place = 8 points, 2nd = 7, etc.). I included The Fame, The Fame Monster, Born This Way, ARTPOP, Joanne, Chromatica, Harlequin, and Mayhem. Every time an album's tracklist got cut, I subtracted 1st place by 1 point. Bonus tracks like Born This Way’s (Black Jesus + Amen Fashion, Fashion of His Love, The Queen), Joanne’s (Grigio Girls, Just Another Day) Chromatica (Love Me Right) and Mayhem’s (Can’t Stop The High, Kill For Love) will appear at the end if the album’s run out of standard tracks. Then I added a personal bias bonus at the end based on my emotional attachment to each album.

ARTPOP – 87 pts

Born This Way – 84 pts

Chromatica – 63 pts

The Fame – 57 pts

Harlequin – 44 pts

The Fame Monster – 39 pts

Joanne – 31 pts

Born This Way – 80 pts

Mayhem – 79 pts

ARTPOP – 77 pts

The Fame Monster – 64 pts

🧠 What Blew My Mind:

ARTPOP is my fave... but Mayhem still won with bias?? 

The Fame Monster tanked hard with bias (from 4th to 7th place )

Born This Way is statistically her strongest album. 

It’s kinda beautiful how nostalgia and personal meaning can skew the numbers. Sometimes a song just hits different, even if it's not the most "perfect" track. I think that's really cool, especially with Gaga tracks.   Let me know your thoughts and maybe your breakdowns for each track.

I'd say my bias and "objective" ratings are pretty much the same. Note that I'm rating as if I were a "proper" critic, not a fan giving everything a near 10. Top albums are Mayhem & BTW with TFM/TF trailing right behind. Lowest are Joanne & Chromatica. Welcome suprise with ASIB amid that Joanne - Chromatica run.

Mayhem 87/100 - (One of her best, BUT I had to knock it down a few points since I think BoG/The Beast need a bit more work to take it to the level of all the other songs). 

Chromatica 60/100 - Sorry, this was a miss for me. Production & song issues for most of these tracks. 

Joanne 60/100 - Feels soulless for what it was branded to be, sorry this was a miss for me. 

ARTPOP 75/100 (Great tracks at the top of the album but some production/editing missteps IMO with some of the album's strongest songs: Aura, S*x Dreams, ManiCure). Definitely not a 6/10 as it is on Metacritic... the hate train was in full force during this time lmao

ASIB 79/100 - I'm including ASIB here because I feel like we don't give this enough credit.

BTW 86/100 - (One her best, BUT had to knock it down a few points because the production can get unnecessarily noisy sometimes. Also some tracks that I think should just be removed). 

TFM 85/100 - We all know how great this album is. 

TF 84/100 - Same note, just a great album. 

I'm not including Harlequin within this mix, but yes that is a great album too. I'm a fan of all her jazz albums actually and hope she continues to do them for the rest of her life.
