MAYHEM Ball Suffering from Possible Scalping Attack? (Not the good kind)

(No, this is NOT "snatched weave slay" scalping.)

For those unaware, scalping in ticket terms is to buy a ticket then immediately try to resell it for an insane price to make a profit. Essentially it is a form of scamming. I was looking at her Reddit recently, and I saw these posts:

I'm only describing this as an attack because this is kind of crazy. (I'm not experienced with this, so maybe I am overreacting? I would hope so because this just looks like A LOT of scalping.)

salty like sodium

This happens for pretty much every big pop concert and has been the case since the dawn of time. Born This Way Ball was exactly the same.

Yes, I'm so mad right now.

I have never seen anything like this from her previous tours.

When I made it to pick my seats this afternoon, there was nothing but resales at ridiculous prices. Ticketmaster shouldn't allow resales at this point. They should start offering ''store credit '' or some other alternative but not reselling. Ugh

Yes this is real, I found it myself :ladyhaha: This person could not have been serious :ladyhaha:

I don't understand why resale is allowed period. I know Ticketmaster takes a portion of the profits from resales so I understand why they allow it but why is TM allowed to do it? :saladga:

You buy a ticket for $300 and you end up not being able to attend you should be able to either get a refund (minus the fees) from TM or list that ticket for $300.

Anything else is absolutely just scamming and should be a crime.

Dynamic pricing should be a crime too. Here in Florida businesses are literally charged and fined to hell and back if they jack up their prices for essentials (food, water, gas, etc) before a hurricane hits so why is perceived demand allowed to take a ticket that should be ~$200 and make it ~$700? :air: unless Gaga gets her hottest dancers to call me by name and spit in my mouth there's no reason it should have been that much.

At this point, some of the biggest artists' concerts just feel like one huge scam and we're all being stolen from.

This happened A LOT during the Joanne World Tour, but at the end of the day everything was sold out so I dont get it

All artists should start doing non resell/non transferable tickets, would end this problem instantly.

I resold some tickets last year for no profit because I bought better seats for the same show.

I believe I had to put my SSN to get the funds transferred to my bank account. How are all of these scalpers getting past that?

I think Ticketmaster doesn’t care because they get their initial fees PLUS the resale convenience fee. It’s such a shame the company allows this but also they are part of it too.

You know what would be a good move? Reducing the amount of tickets a user can purchase in one transaction. Getting 8 tickets is ridiculous.

Many resellers got up to 10 tickets for both dates here in Mexico.

what really sucks is.... the exact same ticket for a state OTHER than California is over 300 cheaper. The FL tix i was reading about are $126 and the LA ones for the same section (approx) are over 450. its INSANE. they are NOSEBLEEDS FFS.
