The interesting thing about that performance is that Millie literally did the same thing for the Monster Ball interlude video in 2010 and it was cool/edgy but 4 years later it was the worst thing she could’ve done etc:

I think even Gaga herself looks back on this era knowing how many dumb things she did - I.e. performing inside a Doritos vending machine and her response to it on the lie detector video.

The kind of art she makes, specially during that time, was not meant to be understood or liked. She did not vomit on stage so people can praise her. Shes the kind of artist that intentionally wants to push peoples buttons.

I does not matter how much work she put into ARTPOP, if people dont like it, how much work she put into it is invalid information.

And its extremely weird and cringe that you think people should stand up and apologize for a comment they made in 2012, and then go to the thread today and respond to them in a snarky way lol you are acting so weird for nothing!

I personally loved that performance, and ARTPOP is one of my all time favorite albums.

Swine from this set is my favorite performance from this era.

 

Was a bit too young to fully understand at that time, but became to appreciate it more and more.

 

It was so rebellious and artsy, but it was hated too much because of how people were too disgusted, yet ironically, that was the point of this performance.
