It seems that the “Rim Job” singer is shading her frequent collaborator after she unfollowed him last week. She was also caught liking an insulting tweet, confirming her next song “Bozo” is a diss towards him…also it's a lot more subtle, but her fans think her lately posing with apples daily is a reference to "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"

This is so performative . She clearly never cared about the Kesha case, and is doing this to avoid being Katy Perry'd .

Kim is in a very similar situation that Ke$ha was, tbh. She's under contract with Luke, so of course she was trying to make the best of it while she had to. After Feed The Beast, she pushed to get Problematique and Slutpop: Miami released, likely to mark off two more albums under his label to further fulfill her contract and be able to make music with people she wants to work with again.

Pitting two women (who barely have anything to do with each other) over something a man may have done is one awful thing, but now vilifying the other of the two for being victimized by the same man is just wild.

her situation is not comparable to Kesha's.

Kim said she doesn't believe Luke is an abuser. she didn't have to say it, but she did.

   More likely that now that Katy’s album flopped because of him label heads understand he actually is poison rather than gold.

   You’re a fool if you take anything someone in music industry says at face value. Artists are the product and the spokesperson and it’s their job to frame everything in a favorable way to their image. Meanwhile they are the lowest rung on the ladder in any hierarchy.
 

   Even Gaga who has gained pull has a well established history of doing the same. Just look at the entire DWUW debacle - R. Kellys crimes were well known and documented - even more undeniably than Dr Luke given there was video evidence - she went out there and lied several times oh how the collab came to be. She lied and said that R Kelly has a lot of untrue things written about him. She got out of it by burying it, tanking her era and cleaning house everywhere she could.

   Kim answering unprepared with her “I wouldn’t work with someone I think is an abuser” is such a nothing burger of an attempted PR response. She has more often than not alluded to actively disliking Dr Luke and having to have any relation to him.

   We also know Dr Luke for a fact still is taking advantage of artists stealing credit where he did nothing and being an all around scummy person. Doja being the biggest to speak out - and get reprimanded for it and forced to release an apology.

   This isn’t to say Kim is a guaranteed victim - because speculation either way does nobody good. But the absolute cognitive disconnect and hypocrisy that constantly comes up in relation to this discussion is disgusting. Kim gets more blame and pressure put on her than Dr Luke or anyone above him that has actual responsibility to do the right thing. Given what we know about the music industry in general - both in terms of how public relations work and how business behind closed doors works - paired with the commonplace manipulation and abuse Dr Luke has directly been said to have from multiple sources - it’s not just out of the question, but it is downright reasonable to give someone like Kim the benefit of the doubt.

    Kesha publicly spoke positively of Dr Luke constantly while she was actively being abused. That doesn’t mean she was lying about the truth of what happened to her. These aren’t friendships, these are their jobs and careers and how they put money in their wallet and food on their table - it is their survival. And in an industry that all it takes is pissing off one wrong person and having your career destroyed overnight… it’s understandable why it takes so long for the truth to come out about ANYTHING
