Skyana Rava 681
The way I've heard the lyrics of HBDUWM since the beginning is that the guy has a fantasy girl he's holding out for, when Gaga is right there in front of him, for real. And he's obviously into Gaga , he's just not ready to accept that he won't marry the "girl of his dreams." So, I like to listen to HBDUWM and think about a trans girl who's guy friend is clearly into her but can't let go of his long-held idea of "ideal woman." I love Gaga's support of trans people and her exploration of her own gender Obviously there is no one interpretation of a Gaga song, don't come for me 3

pynkri 112
Oh definitely. I love hearing different interpretations. Your theory makes so much sense. She also said she thought about trans people on Free Woman. I think Plastic Doll is also very trans anthem too.

Lil1th 228 Posted yesterday at 07:01 AM Share Posted yesterday at 07:01 AM (edited) As a trans woman I had this thought when listening to this song as well because I'm kind of going through that scenario. we live in a rural area in the south and it took him almost TWO YEARS of us being friends and him clearly being into me for him to admit his feelings. Bestie, she wrote this song at Stonewall actually, so this is a very ignorant comment to make HEART OF EVER-FROST
