Zombiecat 15,531
All of Gagas music translates perfectly to a live band, if not even better but are there any songs you wish would play the studio instrumental during the set? (aka playing the studio drum track and synths/bass instead of being replaced by the live band) for me it would be abracadabra (the lack of sidechain in the live version takes away all the impact of the chorus for me) and maybe rain on me ALSO government hooker sounds so good with the guitars but i always wish they'd use the actual synth bass Edited Saturday at 03:04 AM by Zombiecat https://linktr.ee/jamalholt
NUTELLA 5,908
All of them tbh. I hate live music in general though lol Studio versions are almost always superior. Imo the easiest way to ruin the meticulous hard work of producers is to add a bunch of obnoxious drums & aggravating guitars onto the original instrumental for no reason Edited Saturday at 03:13 AM by NUTELLA 1 1
PartySick 153,266
I always prefer live versions If I wanted to hear the studio version I'd stay home and listen from my phone Concerts are a time where the artist gets to present a slightly different vision for their work and create an entirely new project outside of the album they're promoting 🧡The blindfold's off my eyes, all I see for me is better days🧡 3
Nagini 732
I was actually thinking about this the other day and I do think a lot of Gaga's live performances relies too heavily on the band. VIY at Coachella didn't have the earworm charms in the studio version, the guitar guy forgot to play an entire part I think (or maybe it was just omitted)? It doesn't make sense to me. I think there needs to be more of the studio track mixed in with the live instrumentals, especially for these heavy pop songs (to your point about Debra which I agree with).

Killa 16,973
lol the pianist in the bad romance greetings segment just dabbed a bit of dark horse intro into the improvisation should we fire them ?
GAYHEMikey 7,746
For me personally a LIVE concert requires LIVE instruments. NO DUCT TAPE - NO MISSON
showmeyourfeet 84
One of the main reasons I love gaga is the live instrumentation and arrangements, got me hooked right away and inspires me to this day with my own musical projects. So I would not have any studio version play at her show ever without at least the band playing along. Also about gaga’s influence on my musicality; my previous band’s ep was filled with dramatic intros, outros and breakdowns, wonder how they got there
