Yes, she needs a stripped down era like Joanne to rebuild her relatable image. 143 is just not it. The problem is Katy has a horrible singing voice and her older songs were so catchy you could ignore that. A stripped down album would be a terrible listening experience Like a poem said by a neydy in red
Mother of Puppies 36,310
I feel like she needs to step out of the spotlight for a few years (maybe like 2 years) & then have a comeback to her roots or release an acoustic album & work with new producers maybe she can redeem herself… atm I find it all annoying (and I used to be a HUGE katycat) can’t believe that I’m actually saying this but it is what it is… kinda makes me sad tbh THEY CALL ME LADY MOP

ryansamonster 1,685
I cringed when I saw her kissing the ground. You were gone for 10 minutes girl. And people are saying the whole thing was fake Katy, you’ll never see this but please, girl - go home. Take care of your daughter and stay out of the public eye for a long time.
Mars 2,280
I couldn't care less about some phoney people being shot up in the atmosphere as a publicity stunt for a billionaires space race dream. The whole thing screams out of touch.

faysalaaa 4,160
During ARTPOP, nobody would have complained about it, it was a completely different time. Gaga would also perform in space which people would have loved, and there was a reason for going to space. But being sent to space by a Trump supporter in the name of feminism for literally no reason is why there is backlash. Plus, the kind of celebrities chosen like the Kardashians and Katy Perry, and Jeff making it all about himself and his wife. chathonnete 693
I honestly feel like Katy has always played the woke girl but is just opportunistic and ignorant. Using twitter (a neonazis social media) to tweet about your 11 min trip to space in 2025 is just pathetic. + this is PROMO, she was probably payed millions to pretend this experience is worth it. There are the people who choose to awaken their perspective over what's happening with the world and the people who get submitted to capitalism.

banjosnap 246
She is a poser. She poses for LGBTQ, She poses for feminism, she poses for human rights. She poses on her ass because she sure as hell doesn't stand for any of it. She attended democrat events to get her name linked to her base because she knew it would hell her image with her base. But you can damn well guarandamntee when she entered that voting booth she was Ms. Hudson, the homophobic Christian music try-hard putting her cross in the box next to the type of person she LOVES to associate with - whether ex husband or music producer, she loves a rap1st and 1000% voted for one, too. Absolutely no time for this clear fake woman. 5

Plus, did she really say "I have so much love for mother earth" while taking an unnecessary trip that dumped tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere?! Apparently that is very her right now. On brand. It's like releasing a feminist song called Woman's World while having a sexual offender as a producer. keep on looking for Psyduck
Bebe 17,064
It’s the wrong time in 2025 and I don’t think it would have been viewed the same in 2013. I mean same era she was having a statue of her built by Jeff Koons featuring his gazing ball, was spending money on flying dresses and was shooting music videos at Hearst Castle with the real housewives of Beverly Hills. Those are all things that play better in 2013 (even if it was a highly criticised era). In a year of economic uncertainty, a billionaire as president and the world’s richest man gutting public services while keeping funding for his pet projects…. In a world that has had a decade of Bernie Sanders influencing the progressive movement, in a world post-Covid, in a world post BLM and post Me-Too that is highly critical of current power structures it just doesn’t play
