If democrats don’t get supermajorities, we are done.

The American people elected a felon with dementia largely because they blamed Biden for their grocery bill going up by 15%…what do you think they’re gonna do to you when everything goes up another 30%??? If I were them, I would take my chance with a MAGA primary, because the alternative will be a general election bloodbath.
Ayesha Erotica 1,924
I think it should be in the mutual interest of the US and China that the tariffs do not escalate and are reduced again. US-China trade is the largest trade in the world between two nations. Tariffs raise prices in the US and China, and you can't simply replace Chinese work ethic and offer it here at the same price. There aren't enough people willing to work at these conditions anyway. But if China thinks it can simply replace the US market, no, it can't. There aren't 336 million people additional purchasing power in the EU or Brazil; the EU market is already saturated. After the Trump tariffs, a round of negotiations should have been held and tariffs should have been reduced slightly in both directions by 10%, to limit the escalation. What we are experiencing now is an absurd trade war because two presidents are too vain for each other.
