In what world is that not possible lmao. I believe many of these are still accurate, even though she wrote this list when she was +/- 20 Omg I have never seen this before, ty!!! Hairspray *not the musical lmao I am actually gagged that she listed The Faint - I heard their music for the first time earlier this year and I've been OBSESSED. Wet From Birth sounds like it could have been released this year but it's 20 years old now 32 minutes ago, AVeryGagaHolyDick said: I don’t know about this list, like how can you be inspired by 50 people? It was a trend on Myspace and Bebo (omg) to list as many artists and bands that you liked in your profile description thingy. Idk if that's what she was doing here, but it was definitely a "thing" at the time to try and make the longest list ever to show how cool you were Edited Sunday at 06:27 PM by hamartia

Her not having an up and coming girlie to open for her rubs me the wrong way for years. Many of the names she outright drops as influences can be generally placed into the canon of the “greats” of their respective genres/eras, but the modern young pop listener doesn’t tend to go back and study what led to the music they listen to now. And Gaga has a lot of deep cut artists (not just musical6 as references too. She really said it best when she referred to herself as a “student of music.” I know it's cringe but I always think about the average Gaga fan as having this broad and eclectic taste in music, art, fashion, in part thanks to her educating us in what came before her and made her who she is today. She's so multifaceted and I think that contributes to her having an artistically-educated fanbase who enjoy so many different genres of music and are truly here for the love of artistic freedom and self expression, not the pop radio of it all And then I see posts here about how she needs to get a Jennie feature or whatever and I'm like... 2

But she's always prepared for interviews and questions. Her brand is being kind and a true artist. Interesting, I feel the opposite. Lately she seems much more relaxed and less performative during interviews. She'll always be a nerd and a drama queen though, that's just who she is. So she loves to come prepared and she has a flair for dramatics. But I love that about her. According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

hELXIG 42,501 Posted yesterday at 12:08 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:08 AM She sung that fly song by The Cramps that one time. And she's had other disco songs playing in her car before like that More More More song (during her I Want Your Love mini era ). She used to listen to 80's hair metal a lot with Luc Carl. She sung Burning Down The House by Talking Heads once. Black Dog by Led Zeppelin and said she was in a Led Zeppelin cover band. She's spoken about Carole King and Stevie Wonder a few times I honestly think she listens to a tonne of different music and it changes during different phases of her life, like her fashion does. I think she's one to get obsessed with certain lifestyles and throws herself 100% into it on whim and her music taste matches wherever she's at at the time The only thing we don't really hear her referencing is current pop music which is interesting given she's technically a pop star. I often wonder how much she listens to and knows. She gave both Billie and Chappel her phone number so she clearly knows enough about them to want to offer support. She said once years ago she keeps her ear to the ground about what's current in pop. And then the artists she selected for Dawn of Chromatica she must've at least known of them (I was stoked and surprised to see Ashnikko there). It's a bit of a mystery. Interviewers always ask her about her music taste but I wish someone would ask her specifically about current pop music. Big artists from the past few years I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Things have changed so much over the years. During artRAVE she had Crayonpop, Babymetal and Hatsune Miku. She's at a place now where she could really support some up-and-comers she believes in but to have no openers is crazy. It's like she doesn't push anymore to make these things happen. I also know that Gaga back in 2011 would've tweeted about how she told Ticketmaster she won't tour if they do dynamic pricing because she believes everyone deserves a chance to come to her show. I think these days she's tired so she just sits back, lets her team plan things, and doesn't even look over it, and goes with whatever they choose. The fight in her is gone. But it's probably something she's chosen in order to protect her own mental health. I just wish she still fought for us too Edited yesterday at 01:24 AM by hELXIG I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
