27monster27 14,503
With the "MAYHEM Promo Tour" beginning in eight days at Coachella, I think it would be interesting to discuss how the two tours will vary. The promo tour will run from Coachella to Singapore in late May, and the main tour will run from July to November. With this, what differences do we expect to see? I think the promo tour will use the Coachella set because of the short time between dates (the Mexican dates are only eight days after Coachella ends), and I can't see a new stage being put together in that short of a time. Also, this is pretty big for a promo tour. The "Just Dance Promo Tour" as fans have names mainly visited clubs, and Madonna's highly advertised Hard Candy Promo Tour only visited festivals at its biggest. Visited arenas and stadiums will be unique for this kind of tour. The MAYHEM Ball IMO will definitely be different and bigger in scope. Some elements from the promo tour will likely be re-used, but since this is the main tour for the album, this will probably have some of the most elaborate staging and artistry. Like with Coachella 2017 VS the Joanne World Tour, I think more MAYHEM songs will likely be present here than during the promo tour, but as a promo tour for the album this could very well be different. What do we think? he/him/his
LUCARTPOP 5,928
I think some renditions will be reused for the Mayhem Ball that we get in the forthcoming shows. The Ball will be much more conceptual and theatrical whereas the next shows might be more focused on performing the songs to "please" the audiences? I hope I make sense.. elijahfan 26,778
I'm very curious about it too. I agree that the promo tour will likely be an extended version of the Coachella set, and it will be interesting to see what remains of these performances in the actual tour. Killa 18,039
I mean the reasons why It Is arena show must have been due to It being similar to rio. But Singapore Is stadium. Then coachella and rio must be more greatest hits Oriented? So i don't understand anything at all honestly
AntonTurnItUp 7,088
Ok, in Gaga's words, she wasn't planning to tour this year and the only "official tour" for the album was Mexico, Rio and Singapore with Coachella being a different set from these, so I think Coachella will be more "greatest hits" oriented while Mexico, Rio and Singapore will have a revamped setlist with all the songs from MAYHEM + The Greatest Hits (because these concerts are promoted as "MAYHEM on The Beach", "VIVA LA MAYHEM!" and "MAYHEM Singapura") and it will use the same stage and elements from Coachella, basically these are going to be... something really big with a the great production of Coachella! And now The Mayhem Ball, I think it will have the same show as "MAYHEM" but maybe with some variations in the outfits and elements to make it more theatrical and intimate. VIVA LA MAYHEM (and etc.) are massive concerts with big production and MAYHEM Ball will be a bit small but a more theatrical show, something like The Monster Ball theater version vs. arena version

Coachella would be smaller but will probably just contain the same stage aka when BTWBall fit into arenas also the arena tour she said was planned in weeks so the arena tour will be seperate as i'm sure rio was planned wayyyy before Edited April 3 by Sadcat

But maybe the whole arena vs stadium has more to do with logistics, security, budget than staging and the performance in itself. This its easier tò put together cause its smaller

And She must have been dancing like Crazy for at least One or 2 years, considering her present skill

Coachella, Mexico, Rio and Singapore have been planned for at least 6 months, and allegedly Coachella will be such a big show that Gaga decided to bring it to other countries and not wasting it in only one festival, that's why I think The MAYHEM Ball will have the same show, but adapted to arenas with some variations (staging, outfits, setlist), and let's be real, she doesn't have enough time to rehearse two completely different performances.

I agree. I wonder if this will be perhaps more akin to the "ArtRave 2.0" that people talk about. Jackaroo 2,191
Mayhem Promo Tour sounds underwhelming but it looks like she is mirroring Doja Cat’s scarlet rollout with a big performance debut at Coachella, then festival tour, and then arena tour with the same stage. I just hope gaga will do it even bigger and serve us uncountable sickening different looks each night. CBT was too safe and well planned if you know what I mean… I’d like to see her being more spontaneous
