highwayunic0rn 89
I’m planning to go to one of the Manchester shows alone, anyone else going?
Chris Thomason 961
That presale was an absolute joke. Beyond annoyed I couldnt get a ticket. was there early in the waiting room. It didn't automatically refresh at 12 when they went on sale so I had 14k people ahead of me. Queue froze at 229 people ahead of me for 45 minutes then when I finally did get in it was a whack a mole system where every time you selected your tickets they were already sold only for them to become available again on refresh. Every refresh defaulted to 2 tickets and I only wanted the 1, it wouldnt let me buy 1 because it would leave another seat alone apparently. Then I was like screw it I'm buying 2 tickets and I still couldnt get them before I had to go to work (only then to find out another manchester date was stealthily announced, not cool). All the tickets are on viagogo now anyway, the bots got most of them.

BoomKack 6,526
A lot of issues (but certainly not all) could have been avoided if production had used their common sense and went with floor standing
BoomKack 6,526
Also it's lowkey funny that Wed 8th Oct is gonna be Gaga at the Co-op Live vs Katy Perry at the AO. Plenty of decent-priced seats for Katy if anyone misses out!
guccic0och 1,454
I’m attending solo on the 8th if anyone wouldn’t mind a queue buddy! StrawberryBlond 14,525 Posted yesterday at 03:08 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:08 AM I feel all the trouble everyone here had to go through. Got tickets to the 8th to the section I wanted but it took me between 8-9 hours to finally do it, on and off. My dad gets the tickets and while he was ready and waiting at 12pm (we even counted down out loud using the BBC News at 12 countdown on the tv!), he wasn't logged into ticketmaster as he thought it would be automatic, I had to get his password book, he typed it in wrong multiple times as the phone's keyboard hid the word he was typing, he forgot to capitalise a letter...it was a whole thing. I was pacing about the kitchen, clenching my fists and breathing deeply. Lost us so much time and we were 43,000th in the queue, it took over 1.5 hours until we were about to be first. And then it seemed stuck on "ready to go" with no automatic page change and when it did finally work, when he did click on tickets, they disappeared immediately. He even called up the helpline and was told to keep refreshing, to no avail. We saw a new date come up but it wasn't clear if the presale had started. That should never have happened, people should've had time to gear up for a second presale. He was apologetic and we eventually gave up and I slunk away disappointed, thinking it was just a matter of waiting to see if more got added. I talk to my friend going with me who was open to London, so the next minute, I'm talking to dad again and unbelievably, he just went straight back to it without complaint, he was having even more trouble on the London one, back and forth between the two. I check up every so often, even after I hear the Manchester presale's sold out. Still don't know how he did it, but he got hold of the tickets I wanted but it was bizarre, he got a receipt but no additional email, no money off his account either. But because of the page displayed, we thought it must be fine. He took screenshots as proof and that was that. I announce it to my friend all happy and come down later to get my dinner and that's when he tells me...don't ask how, but it seems that he didn't buy those tickets, there's no proof of them outside the initial receipt, they don't appear in his upcoming tickets, nothing. But luckily, he got straight back into looking and found another set literally in the row in front for slightly more money and just clicked on them to see what would happen and was immediately taken through more steps he never had before and now these ones are definitely legit. There's no sign of those random tickets he apparently "purchased" earlier but if they do appear in his ticketmaster account and he's charged, we will naturally resell them immediately and at the same price we got them, at £466 each. Just to let anyone else know: please by aware that you need to double check you've definitely purchased the tickets, even if you have to look through your bank account. @Juanlittlem, maybe you could mention this story in your OP, just in case this is an ongoing issue with the app that might throw off people who think they've got tickets but haven't? Over the moon, but wow, ticketmaster needs a rethink and Gaga needs to play stadiums. This is outrageous.
LastNight 5,916 Posted yesterday at 08:56 PM Share Posted yesterday at 08:56 PM (edited) Going on the 8th!!! SO happy she’s finally playing in my city again. I’ve travelled to so many other cities for concerts in the last few years, so it’s such a relief not to have to book a train or hotel this time! I got the opportunity to look around Co-op Live while it was under construction, but haven’t had the chance to go since it completed - can’t wait to see it. Couldn’t be happier it’s in an arena tbh. I saw Elton John in an arena a couple of years ago and it made SUCH a difference compared to the stadium shows I’d seen running up to it. I can’t wait to actually be able to see her clearly not just on the big screen!!! It’s gonna be amazing 💥 Edited yesterday at 08:58 PM by LastNight
Zombiecat 15,229 Posted yesterday at 10:00 PM Share Posted yesterday at 10:00 PM this is crazy work, why is the UK seated also im assuming this venue is smaller than the o2 and that's why even the further seats are more expensive!? https://linktr.ee/jamalholt

Plenty of decent-priced seats for Katy if anyone misses out! I noticed that too! LiveNation stirring that rivalry pot! Means its going to be very busy in the greater Manchester area that night too (was going to be say "I'm sure Katy's 10 fans won't add to the crowds much" ). Katy will also be touring the UK and Europe in general at the same time as Gaga and they'll also be performing in Mexico City the same night too. I don't know who's responsible for working out these arrangements, but it could've been better. Could you imagine any Katy fans who already booked her Manchester 8th show who are also Gaga fans freaking out when Gaga released a date in Manchester for the day before when they'd only booked their hotel for one night and then couldn't get tickets and realised her second date was the exact same day as Katy's? Her fans must have been tearing their hair out!
