Ugh my Cher concert was cancelled a week before the show 'cause of that bitch covid :kry:

So sorry your Cher concert was cancelled.  I saw Cher on December 6, 2019 and saw Madonna the following day.  They were the last of 18 concerts I attended in 2019.  Had tickets for 18 concerts in 2020 and all of them were cancelled due to covid.  Cher is on tour rn.  I hope you can attend.

That Alice Cooper concert was the most expensive one I ever tried to attend.  I don't think I would pay more than $1000 for anyone but Gaga.  The best M&G I ever had was with Haley Reinhart.  I told her we did a megarate of her album on GGD.  She wanted to know all about how megarates work so we had a long conversation, and her staff took pics of just her and me.  She's such a nice person.

I live outside the space time continuum.

I dont think its true exploitation. Work wise at least...

This is for 1 day. Workers are always a liability the first few days. They waste more time making little mistakes and making coworkers have to teach them everything than they help

So while ppl may associate this with societal issues of Corporate exploitation, i dont think labor is really the driving force here, it really is the experience

My criticism if anything would be more about the high cost of the experience, i think 12k is too much, but i wouldnt criticise the fact that it includes labor. Ppl who would go for this would want to do it

its literally plain and simple exploitation no matter how you paint it

mother, what must i do?

How?

Labor exploitation is trying to get cheap or free labor to complete your tasks and benefit yourself at their expense and lack of compensation

A person working for 1 day who doesnt know anything about how that stuff works is not gonna be an asset for him whats so ever so I dont think exloiting labor is what this is about

I get ppl are sensitive about Corporate worker exploitation so their minds automatically make that connection but this is not the same situation at all

Its so not the same thing tho. Clearly the driving force behind this isnt the free labor itself. Thats literally not gonna help them

The only part i think is exploitive is the amount they are charging. I think 12K is way too much for any "experience"

The fact they are doing work tho doesnt bother me. Theres nothing to exploit from a person working 1 single day who doesnt know sh*t about the process and is gonna need help for everything. Clearly the labor part of it is intended to really be about the experience, not gains from the labor itself

Gaga Scholar

This could be a smart investment opportunity. Hear me out:

Let's say it's possible to spend $12,500 (if not much more) over the course of our lives on Gaga-related purchases for the enjoyment of her art, yes, but also the joys of the parasocial relationship: music, merch, concert tickets, travel, etc. But no matter how much money is spent, even on a meet and greet, the relationship likely remains parasocial.

But spend $12,500 for significant time spent WITH Gaga--that could be a great opportunity to charm her into becoming genuine besties for life.

Who knows?! Perhaps she'll be calling and spending money on YOU!

:ladyhaha:
