Explaining Mayhem Disease 1st Or 2nd Single Controversy With Diagram

Was Disease the 1st or 2nd single? Was it 1st then 2nd or always 2nd? Or maybe 1/2? Was Abra single #2 but then becomes 3rd but then fans agree its more accurate to say 2/3 single? Maybe its actually all at once at the same time

DWAS is the zeroth single of Mayhem. Zero is still a whole number. We use the word "zeroth" when something preceded even the intended first one in order. For example, Zeroth Law of Thermodynamics. DWAS wasn't planned to be the lead single initially but chronologically it is the first song from Mayhem tracklist to be released as a single.

Disease is the first single of Mayhem (Gaga's own words). It is the first song that was planned to be released as the lead single and she proceeded with the decision. But DWAS was added to Mayhem later on, probably by October 2024.

Nevertheless, DWAS is an inseparable part of Mayhem and the zeroth single of the album.

I agree. We use the word 'buzz' in lieu of the word 'flop'.

That actually makes sense with the lack of promotion vs DWAS and Abra lol
