Zombieboy should’ve been released last Halloween

She could absolutely do something with it for next Halloween though! Give it a music video, do a performance, just have them put it out on the radio. It’s an excellent song

We can love both, and I’ve seen a lot of people praising each. I love campy Gaga. I love the deeper sides of her too. Music is all subjective. I personally love both Zombieboy and The Beast for different reasons/moods.

I’m 35 and I love when music can be a bit silly. Having gone through a recent tough breakup, Zombieboy (especially the bridge) is quite healing for me. Something I appreciate about Gaga’s music, and pop music in general, is when lyrics talk about real emotions in a campy way. I still think about my ex a lot, and it’s for the better it stays in my head because we had a toxic love. ‘I don’t want you to stay, but I can’t watch you walk away… you’re better off a fantasy.’ That ‘goodbye I’ll see you in my dreams’ is the perfect attitude for me to hold.

I definitely agree with your sentiment, and of course music (and all art, for that matter) is subjective and can mean many things--or nothing at all--to many people.  I love that you feel a specific connection to this song for a specific reason; I haven't seen much love for The Beast personally but I am glad to hear it's out there! That whole song reminds me of the emoji 🫦 lol.  Much love, Little Monster! 🐾

cus halloween isnt actually that big of a deal, not sure why people think its this huge promotional spot...

Halloween isn't a big deal? It's the biggest holiday in the US alongside Christmas lmao.

Radio stations and streaming Playlists all play Halloween/spooky themed songs all month.

i didn't say it's not a big deal, it's not THAT big of a deal that makes it a huge promotional spot that people suddenly think it is

not one single "halloween" song made it to the hot 100 last year halloween meanwhile AIWFCIY reached number 16 on the last week of november

do you see my point?

mother, what must i do?

Disease would have been a LOT bigger (even viral) if the music video had danceable choreo that can be replicated in TikTok like Abracadabra. I will die on this hill.

the why did abra not even crack the top 10?

I never said anything about the hot 100.

BB100 is a relic and clearly isn't that accurate of a measurement of what is popular anymore.

it's only useful to people wanting to win meaningless stan wars.

I know you didn't but the OPs point is releasing a song around halloween for promotional reasons but I'm pointing out that it's virtually pointless because the halloween boost has no impact on the main US chart, where halloween is a huge deal

if halloween playlisting doesn't even have an inch of an impact that christmas music does so it's just a waste of money... streams give very little back in return and clearly nobody is buying music for halloween...

Man, I feel the same way you do about Zombieboy’s bridge. It really brought up old feelings! I love that bridge very much. Gaga’s an incredible songwriter.
