Gagaism 10,752
In terms of quality, maturity Mayhem is definitely the better. I like Chromatica, I love house music and it’s probably my favorite style of music when it comes to production and beats and I LOVE the fact she gave us Alice which is the type of song I’ve always wanted from her. I just wish that some of Chromatica production would go a little harder on that aspect of being based on house music tbh. Maybem just hits different, maybe because I’m also getting older just like some of us and herself so we evolve and stuff like that but yeah, for probably more than just one reason, Mayhem is the better one between the two. steven 5,803
I voted for Chromatica because I have a special bond with it. It sounds extremely cohesive and is more impressive as a body of work, while Mayhem is amazing but feels more like me picking songs here and there rather than enjoying it as a whole.
Morphine Prince 104,072
Chromatica because it grew on me quickly after a lackluster first listen but then it clicked and it’s been on rotation ever since. Mayhem only caught my interest one week. 2 1

I wanna learn more about how they created it 'cause that bit that I caught where Gaga explained that they played a bass into a program and mutated it into a synth is just THAT is how you make music innovation, fingers to strings and sticks to a drum set, not copy+pasting a sound file 40 times and calling it a beat I’m still waiting for more interviews with Andrew, Cirkut or Gaga about the creation of the entire album. It would make my year if she does a documentary like Five Foot Two and show what they were doing like they did with Joanne. That Rolling Stone one when she explains Disease instrumental and vocals is everything. We NEED more of that!! 1 3

RochestrMonstr 2,601
Mayhem and it’s not even close. Chromatica is good but it’s my least favorite Gaga album.

LadyLittleMonster 22
Mayhem! While I love 911 and Replay, I just couldn't get into the rest of Chromatica. Now with Mayhem, it's the total opposite, with only 2 songs being skips. It also might be my favorite Gaga album!
Seringai 246
there are currently only three songs I listen again from Chromatica - Rain on Me, Replay and Babylon. The rest kinda ok only. Compared with Mayhem -> Disease, Perfect Celebrity, Zombieboy, Killah, Abracadabra, Lovedrugs, Shadow of a man. So Mayhem wins by far.

JustTea 5,079
Chromatica, it has so many bops and is so underrated in her catalogue, similar to ARTPOP
