I haven’t seen the movie, and I don’t intend to, but honestly this is better than I thought. The B+ CinemaScore certainly isn’t great, but considering all the controversy surrounding the film (and the apparent quality of the film itself), it’s relatively high. Likewise, I would’ve thought the box office would be ~$30-$35 million for the opening weekend. The fact that it’s $45+ million is not too bad.

Perhaps the remakes of the more modern films will fare better, as they were written in a contemporary landscape, and won’t need as much re-working. Snow White was DOA because quite frankly, who wants to see her belting a pop power ballad? The choices to contemporize the story are artistically dissonant with the original source material…so who is it even for?

Well yeah and Disney paid it dust for years so there isn’t really a lot of affinity for the story. I like it! But they’ve never prioritized Snow White or that aesthetic, world, and story. If these movies are meant to cash in on old affections, this one can’t really

I saw the movie and I didn’t think it was a bad movie at all. They definitely expanded on the story and added characters but it thought it was a solid movie. 
 

Biggest complaint was Gal Gadot, particularly her singing. The songs overall were catchy and there’s a love duet that I thought was really sweet. Rachel sings really well and was very likable. 
 

The dwarves being CGI was a little distracting in the trailers but it wasn’t a problem for me in the movie and I liked them. Dopey was my favorite character in the cartoon and he was cute in this too. He looks like Alfred E. Neuman.

I saw it and I think it was enjoyable... Don't get me wrong, the script was bad but the result wasn't something unwatchable for me. Rachel and the male lead were great, surprisingly the dwarfs didn't bother me. Now, Gal Gadot...  I don't agree with her in most of the things but she wasn't terrible as many said, she was bad but def not her worst performance  She looked good tho  literally beautiful gowns  Great musical numbers, even Gal Gadot got a great one but her voice  I really think she did the best she could and had the best intentions here (unlike her in real life ) but girl has no talent and that almost make me feel bad for her

I went expecting something atrocious but with an open mind and I got a nice experience 

Who wrote the script tho... when Gal Gadot told the guards to chain the guy outside the castle and take off his clothes and they only took off his shoes
