Although I think he's trying to say that Selena has a softer singer voice? But she would be far from the first to have a whisper-like soft singing voice. I know Selena came long before Billie, but Billie if anything would probably take the credit in the minds of the GP. However, I'd say that Bjork could technically be considered the originator of that kind of style?
