I was constantly worrying about her experience that's why you hated it. it does the same to me when i listento gaga with someone who hates her. i hear the music too loud and abrasive whereas when i'm on my own i just feel like this is the last masterpiece on earth. i think it's psychological and i teaches me to not ever try to convice anyone. you can't force anyone to love music as much as you do because ultimately what makes one love a song is the memories they attach to it. it has to come organically. idk sorry for all that talking. and xo <3 1
Ziggy 11,079
here's the thing: it's not HORRIBLE, but it could have been transcendent if John Waters had written and directed it and not just liked watching it. When he said he liked it i was like omg yes he could have brought the concept to life. a straight guy known for the hangover making a surrealist musical? yeah ok lmao it's such a shame bc the concept is exceptional and i see gaga's draw to that. it could have been SO good. the groundwork was there, concept there. WRONG WRONG WRONG people executing it. A good director would have, for instance, guided Gaga to not sing small but sing and perform *differently* than herself. Very simplistic to think "different" for a performer as versatile as she is means small and "realistic", but then in the dreams i was like oh that's just gaga being gaga. It was all down on todd philips not being the guy for this job imo Edited 4 hours ago by Ziggy
