MTV put a pause on the awards show last year, with the expectation it would return this year in a reimagined format. Sources tell Deadline the show remains on pause this year, and updates on future plans will be revealed once they’re solidified. Actual artistic films get pushed out by cash rich studio productions that drop the weakest remakes and barebones movies just to get box office scores.
